Chesapeake Systems’ Jason Whetstone to speak at Sports Venue Production Summit

Jun 16, 2016

For sports fans who never make it to seats in a stadium, rink or track – or even those who do – video is everything. Watching sports highlights, brawls, contested plays, half-time shows and fans in the stands is something consumers crave. Even outside of the stadium sports video is in demand, with fans responding to clips of players actively engaged in their communities.

As sports franchises work to satisfy fans’ voracious appetite for video, they must put a great deal of thought and care not only into capturing content, but into considering how to manage and store these vast quantities of data.

During the Sports Video Group Sports Venue Production Summit at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia June 29-30, you’ll have the opportunity to sit in on informative panel discussions on the latest in fan entertainment, asset management, workflows, marketing and sponsorship opportunities and more.

Featured speakers for the event include production or operation managers for the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies and the NBA. Hear also from Marc Bauman, the Senior Vice President and Executive Producer of the Creative and Technical Services Production Group at Madison Square Garden, who is responsible for the creative content and the production execution of In Game Event Presentation for all NY Knicks, NY Rangers, NY Liberty and Westchester Knicks home games.

Our very own Workflow Engineer, Jason Whetstone, will speak June 30 from 11:15 a.m. to noon during a presentation on How to Manage Assets and Keep Control of Your Content.

On the morning of June 30, participants will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of Lincoln Financial Field, which recently underwent a $125 million renovation that is spotlighted by high-resolution video boards in the bowl, 4K technology in the control room and a revitalized approach to the game-day fan experience.
