CHESA’s Federal Division Expands, Hires Industry Veteran Holly Myers and Knocks it Out of the Atmosphere for NASA Kennedy Space Center
(Baltimore, MD – January 28, 2021) CHESA (Chesapeake Systems), the premier workflow systems integrator for highly advanced digital media technology systems, launched their Federal Division in 2020, with the acquisition of StorExcel. The core team is composed of industry veterans, including Patrick Johnson (Director of Federal Sales), Holly Myers (Senior Account Executive), Leslie Perzan (Territory Sales Manager) and Mike Lyons (Federal Solutions Architect). The Federal Division had tremendous success in 2020, and is projected to continue to expand its business in 2021. “CHESA is very excited to solidify our Federal Division as we enter our new fiscal year”, says Lance Hukill, Vice President of Sales at CHESA.
Patrick Johnson says, “It’s an honor serving customers such as DHS and NIH, who have such important missions in support of our country. These government agencies have seen an explosion in unstructured data, such as video files and medical imagery, which they need to protect for years to come and continuously drive analytics from. This development has enabled CHESA to be extremely well positioned, as the management and storage of these types of data sets has always been our core competency.”

Meet the team CHESA Federal Division Team

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center:
The CHESA Federal Division boasts a critical success for NASA’s Kennedy Space Center  Artemis I, the first in a series of increasingly complex missions that will enable human exploration to the Moon and Mars, is planned for liftoff November 2021. The launch will have 80 to 100 cameras, capturing from every possible angle. These videos need to be available to different audiences, in many formats, and resolutions. Multiple teams need access to validate equipment, systems, and procedures, for surveillance procedures, internal audience communications, and the general public. CHESA’s Federal Division designed, installed and integrated media asset management and storage to enable the NASA team’s goals.  Read more on CHESA’s project with the NASA Kennedy Space Center.
