Chesapeake Systems [CHESA] is looking for a self-motivated and driven individual who enjoys the experience of implementing solutions to resolve or enhance technical related problems located in the New York Metro Area, Denver Metro Area, or Los Angeles Metro Area. This individual has excellent verbal and written communication skills. Eager to learn and enjoys working with customers on-site and remotely. Is a quick learner and quick on their feet.

This role is Monday-Friday from 9-6 pm in either EST, CST, MNT, or PST Timezones. With weekday and weekend afterhours on-call rotation required. This role reports directly to the Engineering Team Lead.

  • Be an active and contributing member of the professional services team
  • Prepare myself to install and support existing and new technologies adopted by Chesapeake Systems and our clients
  • Identify new sales opportunities during projects and support and relay those to the sales team immediately
  • Keep clients fully informed of their project or support case
  • Enhance our client’s abilities to achieve their mission by first knowing their mission and purpose, and second by acting in their best interest to maintain, protect, and enhance the effectiveness of their technical systems.
  • Identify case trends and provide long-term resolution to common issues in technologies, at client sites, or with specific engineers.
  • Identify and complete training and certifications to ensure you are staying abreast of the changing technology landscape
  • Exercise good data hygiene -- accurate time cards, detailed case notes, clear and appropriate client communication, and thorough documentation (internal and external)
  • Conduct a weekly review of all escalated issues with an emphasis on key client issues, follow up on cases, and provide case updates including any vendor or client dependencies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education and Experience:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
    • or 3-5+ years demonstrable professional experience in a related industry
  • A drive to provide the best service possible with problem-solving skills for design, debug and test solutions, and the diagnoses of support issues
  • The ability to convey information about potentially beneficial solutions to clients in an advisory capacity, in support of the sales team
  • Responsibility, ownership, and management, of their own self-paced learning, to further their knowledge and role within the team, supplemented with coaching and professional development with your manager
  • An ability to on occasion lift and carry 50+ lbs
  • Excellent communication both written and verbally for technical and non-technical parties
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations within a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to quickly and strategically identify technical issues
  • Ability to suss out sales opportunities
  • Ability to think critically and analytically
  • Ability to schedule, time manage and prioritize
  • Ability to be accountable for the work assigned and client expectations
