Business Development / Account Manager

Responsibilities

In this exciting role, the business development executive will procure clients ranging from media publishers to NFL teams to musical performance artists and beyond. As the account manager looks for new opportunities and clients, they will be guided and supported by a team of professionals from Chesapeake Systems.

Specific duties include:

Chesapeake Systems, a Baltimore-based company that produces shared storage, media management and workflow automation systems for numerous industries from large-scale media enterprises to small businesses, has a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to serve in a business development / account manager role.

What we’re looking for

First and foremost, we are seeking someone with previous sales experience who is absolutely passionate and driven to excel in this niche industry. Far from a “sell, sell, sell!” atmosphere, we are very much about educating and assisting our clients, serving in an advisory and consultative role as we help them through their pain points and bottlenecks, and delivering solutions to our clients that help them succeed. Our goal is to empower our creative clients through every step of their demanding digital workflows. The person who fills this role will leverage their networking skills and proficiency in media and technology to identify prospective clients. They will consult and advise clients about the benefits of working for a company that harnesses the latest technology to assist with their demanding workflows. They will excel in developing business and solution selling.

*The account manager does not have to be located in Baltimore. We are open to candidates in proximity to the primary media production hubs throughout the United States.

  • Must have previous sales or business development experience
