The typical digital media storage solution we at Chesapeake Systems design and install for our video production customers is what can be described as a "High-Availability Cluster." The "Cluster" means that servers, switches, and related storage are all arranged and connected in such a way so as to maximize performance. "High Availability" refers to the cluster's ability to provide access to the data should there be a failure in some part of the cluster.
